Angeline Saris Receives Elios Foundation Spotlight Award of Excellence

Acclaimed bassist, songwriter, and educator Angeline Saris has been honored with the Spotlight Award of Excellence by the Elios Charitable Foundation at its inaugural Hellenic Social Club benefit event in San Francisco. The award recognizes individuals whose achievements, artistry, and leadership embody excellence while celebrating and advancing Hellenic culture and heritage.

Known for her versatility across rock, jazz, reggae, fusion, and world music, Saris has built an impressive career performing and recording with legendary artists including Carlos Santana, Todd Rundgren, Adrian Belew, Narada Michael Walden, and many others. Her distinctive musical voice, technical mastery, and commitment to education have earned her recognition throughout the music industry.

The Elios Charitable Foundation recognized Saris not only for her artistic accomplishments but also for her role as an inspiring educator and cultural ambassador. With Greek roots tracing to Crete and Sparta, Saris exemplifies the Foundation’s mission of celebrating achievement while preserving and promoting Hellenic values, culture, and community leadership.

The award was presented during The Hellenic Social Club, a signature fundraising event benefiting the Elios Charitable Foundation. Saris was celebrated as the organization’s 2026 Spotlight Award recipient before an audience gathered to support the Foundation’s charitable and cultural initiatives.
